During the period from October 13th to 17th, Mr. Lin Haibo, member of the standing committee of the CPC and secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission of Yankuang Group, led a delegation to Yancoal Australia and supervised the work there, unfolding the first inspection on overseas company on behalf of the CPC Committee of the Group.
Mr. Lin Haibo and his delegation went to Moolarben Coal Mine, Austar Coal Mine, Yarrabee Coal Mine, Ultra Clean Coal (UCC) Pilot Plant, and Yancoal Australia Ltd’s head office in Sydney for inspection successively, and also carried out investigation on the Energy Institution of Australia's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) in Newcastle and PricewaterhouseCoopers, travelling a distance of nearly 5000 kilometers.
In Yarrabee Coal Mine, Mr. Lin Haibo presented the award to Mr. Paul Stringer, Regional General Manager of Queensland and Western Australia, who was given the title of “Year 2014 Character That Moved Yankuang”, and extended congratulations to him on behalf of Yankuang Group.
Mr. Lin Haibo and his delegation not only inspected the open cut mines and the underground operating mines, heard the work presentation of each coal mine and region, but also talked respectively with Chinese expatriates and Australian management.
After listening to a comprehensive presentation of Yancoal Australia, Mr. Lin Haibo was gratified to see the strong awareness that Yancoal Australia had showed in face of severe market situation. He required Yancoal Australia to further reduce production costs, deepen the coal blending, optimize sales layout, and accelerate the analysis and research on the commercialization of ultra-clean coal technology in order to open up new areas for the development of conversion and clean use of coal.
